Our writer, Rebecca Robinson, had the honor of interviewing Kate Russell. “Who’s that ?”, you might think. Kate is a librarian from Alderney, and along with Pauline Black and Robin Whicker, they started to create a 10 feet long embroidery to finish the famous Tenture of Bayeux, ten years ago. They imagined the scene after the battle of Hastings, leading to William’s coronation on Christmas day 1066.
416 people participated, coming along to stitch, from five continents, and all ages. The youngest were 4 years old ! Listen to part 1 of the podcast to hear about this incredible journey.
You can now listen to part 2 of the Interview !
