Bardolfe
Although he is a fictional character, Bardolfe plays an important role in the story. Fiercely loyal to Cynewyn, he pledges his life to protect her. His nature is earnest and kind, and he steps out of his comfort zone to learn how to read and write, despite the teasing of his fellow soldiers.
